    In depth

    Verdict

Richard Fahey has two in-form entries here. Right Action is up 3lb for landing a Class 5 handicap over the trip at Carlisle but Musselburgh maiden winner Dan Troop looks to have more scope as that was only his fifth start. Hydroxide has been a beaten favourite in his last three starts and never really got going at Wolverhampton though found the 6f too short. MERLIN (NAP) found a mile just too far on his reappearance at Redcar but made no mistake when leading all the way over 6f at Nottingham. This should prove his optimum trip and he's likely to prove better than a 79-rated handicapper. Grinty was well supported on his return to action at Redcar and always looked to be doing enough so he's another on the short-list in a decent contest.
