In depth
Verdict
Icy Blast can land what looks like a run-of-the-mill bumper, with possibly Whatdo You Want representing the biggest threat. As ever with these races, watch the betting but the Paul Webber-trained selection has likeable breeding, is out if a winning hurdler and chaser and his trainer can do well in this type of contest. Turning to the others. Bexley showed some promise on his debut at Uttoxeter, and Fifty Franks ran better than it might seem when fourth at Catterick last time after being hampered. Malmo Boy is certainly bred for this game but might be done for something with toe, but Super Boston is out of an Irish mare who was placed in bumpers and hurdles. In particular watch the betting with regard to the Mick Easterby pair, Whatdo You Want and Meldrum Meg. The former has plenty of Flat bold in his pedigree, and Meldrum Meg is not devoid of good blood either. Overall, though, we are happy to side with Icy Blast.
