In depth

Verdict

Snookered was cleaning up in this grade at Sedgefield in the autumn but a further 10lb rise may put paid to the four-timer. Clemento has won a couple of minor contests at Cartmel but was pulled up on the all-weather in October when last seen. DEAR SIRE could figure if last month’s sixth here has blown away a few cobwebs. He was chasing last season but has won seven times over the smaller obstacles and is back on a winning mark with Lorcan Murtagh’s claim an added bonus. Another grey, Suggestion, has also won over course and distance but might need this. Fisher Green is fairly consistent but all of his hurdles victories have come north of the border.
