Verdict
Smiling Stranger should be in the mix though failed to land the odds in a maiden race at Chelmsford last time and Beverley winner Altharoos is better than his latest effort at Carlisle suggests. Corton Lad is penalised for last week's win at Ayr and Hydrant has looked in the handicapper's grip since landing a hat-trick earlier in the season. NEXT EDITION has an absence to overcome but ended last term with a narrow-margin defeat at York and a repeat should see Philip Kirby's charge bang there at the finish.
