Verdict
NEW REALITY won a maiden on the Flat for Jim Bolger before making a winning start over timber at Perth where he was in second when left clear at the last. Royal Regard makes his UK debut after a couple of moderate runs on testing ground in France while Turaco, a half-brother to a winning hurdler, showed a bit of potential in two runs on the level a year ago. Von Melas ran better than expected in a stronger race than this at Market Rasen while dual Flat winner We Still Believe was in touch for a long way on his hurdling bow at Sedgefield. Battle Angel scored over 1m5f at Hamilton in July but Nastasiya was beaten a long way on her hurdling debut at Perth.
