Verdict
Scoop The Pot had MR SCRUMPY back in fourth when scoring at Newcastle in December but the placings were reversed at that track last month when the former was pulled up and the latter was a staying-on third. Jedd O’Keeffe’s charge has a length-and-a-half to find with Crixus's Escape on that latest run but there are signs that he’s getting to grip with fences now and he won here over hurdles last season when 10lb higher. This is a very competitive handicap, however, with Sigurd nicely treated nowadays and Dhowin deserving of a change of luck. Firak should be approaching peak fitness and Deep Charm is worth a try in this higher grade with Timeless Beauty and Dragonfruit also interesting if forgiven their most recent efforts.
