Verdict
Imps Way comes into her own when the ground quickens up and is taken to defy a lay off and advancing years to land this hunter chase, with Spring Margot the obvious danger and the others running a race of their own. The selection has not been seen since winning a three mile contest here last May by 14 lengths from Plutocrat, so her fitness first time is taken on trust, but it is her love of conditions and the fact that her best form is the best on offer here that sees us side with her. Spring Margot is a specialist at this sort of trip and has plenty of experience to bring to the party, but he has never won on ground faster than good and that may mean he has to settle for the runners up spot here. Of the remainder Ifni Du Luc looked likely to need a couple of runs when returning after a three year absence last time thought market support would be interesting. She may be best watched again for today however and preference is for Imps Way.
