Verdict
Flight West looked unlucky when running out in Classical Ben's race at Catterick on Thursday but this may come too soon for the son of Norwich and, in a trappy contest, we prefer to side with Brandy Wine, who gets the verdict over Jonny's Kick. The last mentioned makes plenty of appeal on breeding but Tim Easterby's stable could be in better form. Mick Easterby's Denby, a son of Sri Pekan, may not appreciate the testing conditions but makes more appeal than stablemate Charlies Memory. The French-bred Lorio Du Misselot has to be respected on ground that is likely to suit but Ferdy Murphy has struggled to find the winners of late and we prefer to side with Brandy Wine. Being by Roselier there should be little doubt concerning the testing conditions for Len Lungo's gelding and, with the stable having a good record in these sort of races, he looks worth a bet.
