Verdict

This won’t take much winning, despite the big field. Hartside and Bonne Question are both interesting contenders, despite returning from an absence. Farlam King has been showing signs of life but shapes as though a longer trip wouldn’t come amiss. Felix Mendelssohn’s form figures are also off-putting but he’s not without a chance in this grade. DEW POND has only once failed to run his race and that was on soft going. Billy Garritty claims 7lb off Tim Easterby’s Kelso runner-up, who gets a tentative vote to go one better.
