        Verdict

        It was soft going when Culloden was only beaten a head at Catterick nine days ago but he handles quicker surfaces and still isn’t badly treated, despite a 2lb rise. MAGGI MAY has been very consistent on artificial surfaces this year and transferred that form to Turf at Leicester on Saturday – David Brown’s filly would not be winning out of turn here. Ambitious Icarus won off a 2lb higher mark on Tapeta in March while Dapper Man would have a squeak on his best form, though may find this on the sharp side.
