In depth

Verdict

SHARNEY SIKE showed nothing in three starts over hurdles and was having his first start for 21 months when attracting support on his chasing debut at Newcastle, where he overcame several errors to get up on the line. A 6lb rise shouldn't prove a problem as his rider can claim all of it back. Harris Hawk hasn't been seen for almost a year and all of his victories have been over further. Little Glenshee was in tremendous form over hurdles at this time a year ago but took a heavy fall over fences at Kelso three weeks ago and could just need a confidence booster. Free World followed his victory at Warwick on New Year's Eve with a good run from 5lb higher on this track, though he's gone up another 4lb. Be My Deputy may find the ground too testing but Kykate is taking a drop in grade and doesn't look badly treated.
