Verdict

Jackson Cage had little to do when landing a Carlisle novices' event for which he is penalised. The consistent Majorica King went to Towcester with a favourite's chance but had no answer to Loose Chips and the four-year-old Volcan Surprise, who is steadily improving and certain to play a big part with his allowances. However, DESTROYER DEPLOYED, a dual bumper winner before a superb effort when runner-up in the Cheltenham Bumper, will have been waiting for some better ground and though disappointing so far over timber can start making up for lost time.
