Verdict
Ela Re can only be a tentative choice here ahead of Dead Mans Dante, Mr Prickle and King Of The Arctic. Ela Re has risen up in the weights on the back of some fair efforts in the past, and now reverts to handicap company after being well beaten behind Percussionist over the course-and-distance last time. He finished a total of 46-lengths behind the winner, but a look at today's opponents reveals that most are either out of form at present or likely to be in need of the run. Dead Mans Dante is dropped back in trip after running out of steam behind Abragante at Haydock last time, while Mr Prickle, although a possible improver, has not been seen since April. King Of The Arctic was a beaten favourite over hurdles at Kelso last time, but has conditions to suit, so is one to consider, and of the rest, Stormy Beech at least lines up on the back of an all-the-way success at Sedgefield, but is upped in grade. This is not an event to get worked up about, with just a moderate vote going to Ela Re.
