Verdict

ALERON could roll back the years to see off Killard Point and Chorizo. At 12-years-young, we will not wax lyrical about elements of progression but Aleron has generally been consistent and as he seems to be a relatively safe conveyance at this level, he receives the vote. Killard Point won well over course-and-distance. He has been ridden with a little more restraint of late and Andrew Thornton will need to settle him early. Chorizo represents a yard that have been among the winners on the flat so don't rule him out too readily. Dawn Ride is something of a regular at this course though may need some help from the handicapper. Water Taxi seldom finds as much as was apparently in the tank. Hold The Bid is a previous course-and-distance winner. Aleron is the call.
