In depth
Verdict
None of the six runners can be ruled out in this. Grey Life won at Carlisle and Sedgefield in the spring but reappears on a higher mark and has been found wanting in this grade in the past. Forward Flight was well behind Yorkist at Carlisle at this time last year and was also beaten by Vengeur De Guye at Kelso in February. The latter was soon left behind by INDIAN VOYAGE (NAP) at the Scottish track earlier this month and, despite better terms, may struggle to reverse that form. Maurice Barnes' gelding was showing a welcome return to form that day and a follow up could be on the cards. Aye Well won three times last season but was also beaten by Vengeur De Guye and has a bit to prove having been pulled up on his reappearance at Ayr.
