Verdict
After finishing a well beaten second at Market Rasen, Pinkie Brown was sent to France for a Grade 2 and though leading for a long way was soon beaten after making a bad mistake at the second last. French import Baraymi was expected to do better on his hurdling debut at Newbury but never got into the race. Kisumu made a reasonable start over hurdles on heavy going here in November but didn't appear to have made the expected progress at Catterick last month where he weakened quickly from the last. FOR GOODNESS SAKE, a winner on the Flat in Ireland, made a very promising debut for Warren Greatrex at Warwick where she led until caught on the run-in by the favourite Ashoka. A similar level of form should be good enough for this though Austin Friar, a half-brother to six winners, is an intriguing entry from the Jim Best yard as he's travelled a long way for this.
