In depth

Verdict

TOM CODY was successful five times between the flags and won his first race under Rules in a chase at Newcastle 12 days ago. He has the edge in experience over likely market rival Aristobulus though the four-year-old, a winner over hurdles, gets a weight-for-age allowance. Kalpaga is not out of this and Ffree Pedro has placed over timber and gets cheekpieces after a pipe-opener at Newcastle.
