Verdict
A very tricky finale to the card at Wetherby and not too many can confidently be ruled out. Middlethorpe, Cumbrian Knight and Kharak are all very much respected in their claims and it will be interesting to see if they are supported accordingly. However, they are all frustrating for one reason or another so it may be worth chancing a small stakes play with Terek, who has done very little wrong since he arrived on these shores from Germany and can at least be relied upon to run his race. The Richard Phillips team are just beginning to step things up with their runners and this game seven-year-old can initiate a return to form from a most capable trainer, who has not enjoyed the rub of the green in the season so far. I Got Rhythm is another to watch out for in the pre-race betting market but she too may find Terek too determined a the finish.
