In depth

Verdict

Viscount Rossini has more to do than when landing a novices' claiming hurdle at Leicester last time, even in this grade, and a poor contest is taken to go to Seafire Lad with Arctic Cove rated the main danger. The selection is a consistent performer in this grade and on a testing surface so is hard to oppose in what looks a moderate contest. Piccolomini has plenty of weight to carry and may be best watched, while Vertigo Blue has given little cause for optimism so far. Maria Bonita has claims on the pick of her form but has shown little worthwhile form this term and of more interest may be Micky Hammond's Arctic Cove, although he is inconsistent and a safer bet looks to be Seafire Lad.
