Nonrunner

In depth

Verdict

A large field and not much for us to go on, so it's probably best to stick to the yards who do well here, so the ones for the short list are Cirrus and Ungaro, from the Keith Reveley yard, Dans Edge, Nor'nor'east, and Oso Magic. We'll take Cirrus to be just about good enough to take it, hoping he can improve on a decent debut effort when he ran third over what was possibly too far last time. That Stratford race was also on soft ground, which he appeared to handle, and though his yard aren't in red hot form, he can perhaps turn things around here. Any chinks will be exposed by Nor'nor'east, who also put up a promising debut at Bangor behind the talented Jeremy Cuddle Duck. He too should come on for the run and can be closely involved. Ferdy Murphy is purring about plenty of his runners at present, so expect a useful debut from Dans Edge, while both Oso Magic and Ungaro will probably find the ground their toughest opponent. That shouldn't be the case for Cirrus, however, and we take him to score.
