An above average novice chase for the time of year. Muldoon's Picnic made rather heavy weather of posting a first chasing success the last day but has always been held in some regard by Kim Bailey. He should improve again whilst Seven Woods battled on dourly to outpoint Oscargo over a furlong further than this trip when coming back from a lengthy break to score on his first outing for Tom George. Green Wizard was most impressive on his chasing debut, travelling and jumping well throughout and will be a leading contender if handling quicker ground and longer trip. However, a speculative vote goes to BUACHAILL ALAINN. A useful hurdler, he succumbed narrowly on his chasing debut and will appreciate the step-up in trip and the valuable 7lb he receives from the aforementioned trio.
