Willie Mullins' newcomer Maggie Connolly is a half-sister to a winning hurdler and a point-to-point winner and will no doubt be earning her keep in time. She wouldn't need to be a stable star to make a winning start but the greater experience of BEAT THE BAND may prevail this time. John Kiely does very well in this sphere and his mare ran a fine race behind Luna Runner here last month where she stayed on nicely from the rear in that two miles event. Peqeno Diablo has done little wrong and looks sure to battling it out while Ross Limestone must have had an off-day at Roscommon last month as he had run very well at Ballinrobe previously.
