In depth

Verdict

MR GROOCOCK is a half-brother to four winning jumpers and could hardly have been more impressive than when making a winning debut in a Clonmel bumper in May. He looks potentially useful and will be a warm order to remain unbeaten. Dr Linzi, who won a bumper at Galway in September, appeared to find the ground too testing over hurdles at Naas last time and conditions won't be much better here but they shouldn't bother Bonheur Secret, who made a reasonable debut over hurdles on his reappearance at Galway in October. Venture Capital looks the main threat as he made a winning debut at Fairyhouse a year ago and was having his only subsequent start when well beaten in the Champion Bumper at Punchestown in April.
