Verdict

Arch Melody completed a double here two years ago but hasn't won subsequently. Smitty Bacall won over hurdles here last month but had previously finished third behind OUR FRIEND at Tramore. The winner found the well-handicapped Fairyhill Run too good at Limerick last time and can return to winning ways. Pat Coyne has been going well over fences and hurdles and it will be a surprise if he's not thereabouts again while Marshalled gained reward for consistency at Killarney and a 7lb rise shouldn't prevent another big run. Abraham was making his handicap debut over fences when scoring over this trip at Killarney so should have more progress in him.
