In depth

Verdict

This is more competitive than the opening maiden but gives COOTAMUNDRA a chance to make amends for his fall at Cork when well fancied. Still a maiden after eight starts over timber, an earlier run behind Raz De Maree at Navan gives him an outstanding chance here. Miracle House eventually finished runner-up in that Cork event, by far his best form so far over timber, and he's an obvious threat while Misspublican stepped up to 2m4f at Down Royal and ran her best race to date. Dizzy Rascal was having his 28th start over hurdles when an excellent second to Eirland at Downpatrick but connections must be despairing of finding a race for him while Sliabh Rua was returning from a long break at Clonmel last month and may just need another run to put her straight.
