In depth

Verdict

METICULOUS was outclassed n a lucrative novices' handicap at Fairyhouse but showed his true worth with a victory over this trip at Cork and just gets the vote over Tullybeg. An impressive winner over the trip at Down Royal, the latter again has Jordan Gainford's claim to aid his cause and will make a bold bid. Merry Doyenne is receiving plenty of weight and the very progressive mare beat what looked a decent field at Killarney. Wearapinkribbon landed a 2m5f maiden at Tramore in October then found 2m much too short at Punchestown last month while Sullane Hill had a break before reappearing with a close fourth in a huge field at Punchestown.
