Verdict

Triple bumper winner Macbride didn't do anywhere near as well as expected over hurdles so connections will be hoping fences bring out the best in him. CAROLE ROSE showed virtually nothing before chasing home Duckweed on her debut over fences at Down Royal and would only need normal progress to land this. Simiel disappointed the last time she ran over timber at Tramore but he has a chaser's pedigree and should give a good account. Crocodile Dundee is generally thereabouts but has failed to win in eleven starts over hurdles and fences so the four-year-old Overtures may prove more of a threat. He's been making progress over the smaller obstacles and if taking to fences could make his mark.
