Dorans Boy has started at huge prices in all three runs though did well when fourth at Kilbeggan last June and will have needed his recent return. Winning point-to-pointer Ingenious Stroke has disappointed over timber since a fair debut at Galway in October but this is a poor contest as Vintage Writer didn't show much in bumpers and was on the retreat when falling in a Clonmel maiden hurdle in March. KING KAL couldn't go the early pace over the minimum at Kilbeggan but picked up late and, with the longer trip certain to suit, can get off the mark.
