Verdict

CHAMPAGNE CLASSIC edges this at the weights and also has the advantage of a recent outing. Gordon Elliott’s charge won a beginners chase at Fairyhouse earlier in the month with the minimum of fuss and makes more appeal than stablemate Roaring Bull. Discorama looks a bigger threat if at his best on his return having found only Delta Work to good in the Champion Novice Chase at Punchestown back in April while Kupatana landed a Listed contest at Cheltenham in the same month and could also go well.
