Verdict

Both Toby Lerone and Barlow have claims. The former probably frightened himself over the National fences at Aintree last time. CONSIGLIERE won this two years ago off an identical mark. He hasn't shown much so far this season but has dropped in the weights as a consequence and Kieron Edgar's claim makes him a viable option today. Wings Of Smoke is starting to knock on the door again but his stable is going through a lean spell and Jump City gets little respite from the handicapper, though did dead-heat over track and trip in the autumn. Native Gallery and Balzaccio have the past form to figure and can't be ignored.
