Verdict

Almost as soon as the handicapper appears to get a grip on Quaddick Lake, he wins again and incurs a further rise in the weights. The nine-year-old now carries a 7lb penalty for his latest success at Taunton and may find one or two too good here though still looks a better bet than stablemate Notarfbad. KINGS FLAGSHIP only beat Valdez by a head over C&D in October but that was such a massive improvement on what he'd shown earlier that the handicapper has almost ignored the form. Chris Down's lightly-raced charge could easily win again getting weight from Fontwell winner Romeo Americo and the out-of-sorts Captain Sharpe. Top Wood still has a bit to prove and Ulis De Vassy has been well beaten in his two starts this autumn.
