In depth

Verdict

On Trend sets the standard having scored on his hurdling bow at Lingfield before finishing a creditable third over 2m5f at Plumpton last month. However, a winners' penalty may find him out here and ACE HIGH is preferred. Vic Dartnall's charge showed plenty of promise when third on his hurdling debut over today's trip at Exeter and can find the improvement necessary to take this. Round Tom is a similar type and a bold bid is expected from him while Buck Mulligan has won twice over fences since his hurdling debut and is another to consider.
