In depth

Verdict

Foggy's Wall scored over track and trip in November and Harry Derham's allowance negates a big chunk of a 7lb penalty. He's preferred to point-to-point winner Drop Out Joe who faded in the closing stages of his bumper debut at Huntingdon. THE CLOCK LEARY finished tailed off in the Champion Bumper at Cheltenham last month but Venetia Williams' charge was beaten only a short-head at Sandown before that and can open his account in this company. Presenting The Way is related to a couple of winners though Thistlecrack, a half-brother to bumper and hurdles winner Kennel Bridge, makes most appeal of the newcomers.
