In depth

Verdict

The final race on the card would appear to rest between Lord Ville and Irish Distinction, while Rescindo should be the best of Martin Pipe's duo. Lord Ville put one over on the odds-on Kaikovra over the course and distance in a conditional jockeys affair three weeks ago, but has to improve again to score despite the fact that Richard Johnson takes over. In addition he has to give weight to Irish Distinction who stepped up on his Sedgefield third to open his account over timber at Chepstow last week. A winner at York on the Flat, he can continue on the upgrade and add to his stable's recent haul. martin Pipe is double-handed with Rescindo expected to prove the best of his pair without being good enough to trouble the aforementioned pair.
