Verdict

Admiral's Secret is the only course and distance winner in the line-up having won here on Boxing Day and, though he refused to race at Haydock last month, he's perfectly capable of winning again if on his best behaviour. Azzuri has a tremendous strike-rate and was in fine form in Ireland last summer. He was well beaten at Sandown a fortnight ago but found the ground too soft and can do much better. Magic Saint completed a four-timer over hurdles and fences at Auteuil, all on testing ground. He's shown plenty of ability in two runs for new connections but may have to wait for the going to ease. The veteran GINO TRAIL, another regular winner, finished runner-up in the Grand Annual last March and reappeared with a fine effort at Sandown. He'll be approaching his peak and can get the better of Bigmartre, who hasn't really progressed from winning a Grade 2 at Ayr in April.
