In depth

Verdict

Nudge And Nurdle has not done a lot wrong recently and he can return to winning ways at the main expense of Shannon Springs and Warlord. The selection won well on his penultimate start before finishing third behind New Perk last time. He made a mistake which took the wind out of his sails a little that day and with a more fluent round of hurdling today he should be hard to beat. Shannon Springs won well last time at Ludlow and he has his ground again today, but he may not be quite as effective over this shorter trip and for that reason he is taken on. Conversely, Warlord should be suited by the step-up in trip after powering home over a shorter distance than this last time. He is respected along with Chorizo who can not be written off so early on in his hurdling career. However, there is plenty to like about Nudge And Nurdle and he is taken to land the prize.
