In depth
Verdict
Wild Knight was very green on his two racecourse appearances but he is well regarded at home and should be ready here to take advantage of his allowances to score as the TEAMtalk selection. He was well backed when winning on only his second run and comes here as Paul Nicholls representative from three possible runners at the five-day stage. His main danger looks to be Alan King's Lords Best who despite making a couple of errors scored well at Kempton recently and holds every chance on that form. Orangerie, another recent winner, will find things tougher with his penalty though the runner-up in his Cheltenham race has won since. By Degree is a chaser in the making but his recent run in a bumper was encouraging and it is interesting he comes hurdling rather than trying to win a National Hunt Flat Race. The rest look distinctly average apart from perhaps Majestic Bay who had useful Flat form and has been slowly coming to hand over hurdles.
