TIDAL FLOW has the form in the book with an impressive five-length bumper success at Newbury. Both placed horses have subsequently won and Philip Hobbs’ charge is taken to defy a penalty on that form. Sirobbie ran well enough at Fakenham on his debut and Bold Plan is a point-to-point winner but several newcomers are worth a second glance. Zyon is a half-brother to winners over jumps and so is Russian Hawk while Samarquand is related to a winning hurdler and chaser. Newtown Boy and Milkwood are others to consider.
