Verdict
No hiding our enthusiasm for Senorita Rumbelita in this one and she should not be opposed. Alan King's charge has always been held in high regard at home and although she gave her backers a few tense moments at Folkestone - she put the issue beyond doubt with a touch of class and she can land this under a penalty. Don And Gerry held every chance in a Mares Handicap Hurdle but was ultimately found wanting in a finish. She is rated 98 and is realistically the benchmark for the newcomers. Miss Midnight was a consistent type in bumpers. She was soon pulled up by James White after making a hash of an early hurdle in a Taunton event so the jury is very much out. Fountain Crumble is bred very much on flat lines so it was no surprise to see her land her second bumper start. She beat a horse called Youlbesolucky on that day. That horse gave the form a boost last month with a decisive victory in a Newcastle novice event. Post It was a winner of a Summer bumper at Hereford but showed little on her most recent start. Alan King's Senorita Rumbelita really should not make any mistake here and she will take this race ahead of grander targets next year.
