        Buckland Lad (IRE) ran a cracker behind Lance Armstrong on seasonal bow but has been a big disappointment since (possibly unsuited by the heavy ground last time); needs to improve.

        King of Sparta Has run some good races in defeat of late and the handicapper is gradually relenting; sure to put up a bold show despite the big weight.

        The Brewmaster (IRE) Had a spin over hurdles at Doncaster in February but has been absent since and hasn't jumped a fence in public for over a year; not without a chance but others make more appeal.

        General Claremont (IRE) Best form is on decent ground and although his stable are really firing now, he may struggle to get home under these testing conditions.

        Murray's Million Ultra consistent and handles the ground well but has been penalised by the handicapper despite failing to score in recent outings; nonetheless looks booked for a place at least.

        Phoenix Phlyer Scored in good style at Exeter 17 days ago and looks to be hitting peak form; another to consider in a competitive little event.

        Well Timed On the downgrade and hard to see him being able to stay with the principals today.

        Robins Pride (IRE) Stays three miles and handles soft ground but doesn't look good enough on the balance of his form so far.
