Verdict
GIBBES BAY was well backed on his reappearance here in a novices' handicap and only found one too good. He's been done no favours with a 5lb rise but will have come on for the run and looks the one to beat. James Bowen's claim is a real plus in a race like this and his mount, Fool To Cry, ran well when second at Warwick but failed to handle this trip at Cheltenham on Friday. One Of Us remains unexposed and Steely Addition was made favourite on his first run for Philip Hobbs at Exeter and though he was struggling when falling he still looks on a fair mark and should make a bold bid to gain compensation.
