Verdict
Chapoturgeon is preferred to Pagano and Lester Leaps In. The selection has progressed with each start since arriving from France and showed a nice turn of foot to quicken clear at Lingfield last time. The second let down the form on Tuesday but the third has won since and he looks feasibly treated for his handicap bow. Pagano attracted market support when scoring a shade cosily on his handicap debut and it's unlikely that a 7lb rise will collar him. That form looks pretty solid and he's expected to win more races but could be unfortunate to bump into a good one today. Warningcamp is just a pound higher than when winning this race last year but this year's renewal looks more competitive. Lester Leaps In was disappointing over Christmas but that was his first start since May and he may have needed it; he's capable of better. Penn Da Benn ran a fair race on his handicap bow, the fall apart, and is sure to be placed to advantage but Chapoturgeon could take the beating this afternoon.
