Verdict

Not much separated seventh-placed Donncha and Storm Ahead in the Newbury Spring Cup when CHELSEA LAD (NAP) was pulled-up lame. But the latter suffered no lasting damage as he ran well for second in a Listed contest at York after that with both Donncha and Murad Khan well beaten. Martyn Meade’s colt looks to have strong claims on that form. Medburn Dream romped home by nine lengths at Lingfield last week though is upped in class off a 10lb higher mark but General Macarthur ran his best race so far since joining David Simcock’s yard when fourth in this grade at Sandown. He can figure but Georgian Bay has something to prove at this level.
