Verdict

A trappy handicap in which PATANJALI could prove a decent shout from the lower echelons of the weights. The Johnson Houghton team have delivered a really good season so far with the daughter of Poet's Voice contributing a 1m1f success at Yarmouth in July. Upped two classes last time, the filly produced an improved effort to run Red Tea to a length and should go well if handling this step-up in trip. Rajadamri and Fast And Hot are obvious sorts to get involved but Gold Return may well emerge as a main challenger here on just her fourth outing, having looked much improved the last day on handicap debut at Wolverhampton. David Lanigan traditionally exercises great patience with his charges and further progression is due.
