Verdict

Placed on his only start last year, Wilkins was having his first run since being gelded when only beaten a neck at Redcar. Toophan can only improve on his sixth in the Wood Ditton at Newmarket and looks a threat to all but SPECIAL ENVOY shaped with even more promise at HQ when running the odds-on Warren Point to a neck – the winner followed up under a penalty at Doncaster. Star Fortress is by Sea The Stars and a half-sister to four winners so is worth a second look but Michigan State will do well to follow up his Wolverhampton victory under a welter burden.
