Verdict
Unpenalised for winning at Leicester, Generalyse came up short at Yarmouth last time when sent off favourite and now races off a 5lb higher mark. STRAITS OF MALACCA is preferred as he was beaten only a head at Lingfield the last time he raced in this grade - Simon Dow’s charge gets the vote after running well again at Epsom on his latest start. Perfect Pastime looks no nearer winning despite slipping down the handicap and the same comment applies to Hipz, Pop Culture and State Of The Union. But Wahaab was getting closer before a poor effort in soft ground at Chepstow and could be thereabouts.
