    Verdict

Twice a winner over this trip, Ghaly will be fancied to make a winning return to action but is conceding 9lb to MARS LANDING, who travelled strongly for a long way at Leicester last month having a first run since winning at that track in April. Ajyaall has performed with credit in both starts this year and can’t be ruled out but Arafi probably need to drop a few pounds.

    Formwatch

Arafi 11-1 (9-11) Held up, niggled along and plenty to do over 2f out, some headway into 5th well over 1f out, no further progress and held inside final furlong, 7th of 9, 4 3/4l behind Declared Interest (9-12) at Newbury 1m hcp fll (2) gf in Jul.

Mars Landing (IRE) 15-8 (9-12) Tracked leader, disputed lead 2f out, headed and ridden well over 1f out, stayed on one pace, 3rd of 5, 2l behind Marsabit (9-1) at Leicester 1m hcp (4) gf in Jul.

Ajyaall (FR) 13-2 (9-4) Stumbled slightly start, keen in midfield, ridden and headway over 2f out, chased leaders entering final furlong, faded close home, 5th of 17, 2 3/4l behind La Trinidad (9-3) at York 1m hcp (2) gd in Jul.

Ghaly 11-2 (9-11) Prominent, led over 2f out, headed over 1f out, no impression on winner inside final furlong, stayed on, 2nd of 15, 2 1/4l behind Shelir (9-11) at Thirsk 1m hcp (3) gs in Sep.
