    Verdict

Young Bertie has been in fine form of late and, having been raised just 2lbs for his comfortable success last time, is taken to complete the hat trick today, getting the vote ahead of Desert Island Miss and Aggravation. The last mentioned has been running well of late and should be thereabouts again but may have to settle for minor honours. Don Cantillon's Im Ova Ere Dad has been running well but may be a shade high in the weights, while Pirouetting has slipped to a fair mark but is inconsistent. Crow's Nest Lad is less exposed than most of these and has to be respected, although a bigger threat is likely to come from Walter Swinburn's recent Kempton winner Desert Island Miss. Young Bertie has solid claims though and is hard to oppose.
