Verdict
Sunley Spinalonga was the recipient of a good ride from Ryan Moore when winning a shade cosily at Sandown and the pair have to be respected as they team up again but her stamina for this test isn't set in stone and she could find that SPICE FAIR proves stronger at the finish. Mark Usher's gelding made amends for a foiled gamble over ten furlongs at this track when scoring over two miles at Kempton but neither the drop back in trip nor a rise in the weights are expected to trouble him and he has the ideal partner on board in Richard Hughes. There's little that excites amongst the remainder although Archie Rice has proved competitive from his current perch and Strategic Mission is attractively weighted if a new combination of aids bring about an upturn in his fortunes.
