Verdict
MABS CROSS had hinted that a victory was imminent when narrowly beaten at Thirsk and she subsequently won a Newcastle maiden in good style. This is much tougher but she's nicely treated and can go in again. Broadhaven Honey changed stables after landing a nursery here in October and will have needed her reappearance while Open Wide, who won over 6f here in October, showed very good pace on her last start at Haydock so shouldn't have any problems over this trip. Arzaak led right on the line at Catterick and will be suited by the stiffer track while dual winner Nayyar will appreciate dropping in grade after running in Class 2 company at Sandown.
